My Favorite books...lately

Unbroken - amazing true story by the author of Seabisquit.
The Story of Edgar Sawtelle - dog story but modern day take on Macbeth.
Mudbound - good follow up if you liked The Help
City of Thieves - excellent story of the siege of Stalingrad
Cathedral in the Sea - 14th century Barcelona
Let the Great World Spin - excellent characters based on the story of the man who tightroped between the World Trade Center towers in 1973.
The Distant Hours - castle mystery story in WWII England
Nineteen Minutes - a take on the victims of Columbine, including the shooter, the parents and the kids
Little Bee - sweet, tragic
The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, the Girl who Played with Fire, The Girl who Kicked the Hornet's Nest - addictive page turners. You won't do anything but read until they're done.
Olive Kitteridge - excellent characters in a small town
The Last Chinese Chef- if you're into cooking and love stories
Cutting for Stone - sweeping novel, amazing, can't say enough good things
Her Fearful Symetry - ghost story by the author of Timetraveler's Wife.
The Art of Racing in the Rain - story by a dog. really good!
